Reliving the Best Plays with Blue Paint Goaltending Sports Gallery
Our certified personal trainers will work with you one-on-one or up to a group of 4 max, to develop personalized styles and techniques tailored to your individual needs and goals.
As mentioned, we will have a max of 4 goalies on the ice for an hour(1), working on all skills from movements, positioning, puck control, puck play and much more. For the Blue Paint goalies we have worked with previously, We will already have an understanding on the areas of work needed and to keep working on. For new goalies, we will work and consult with the parent and goalie to get a better understanding of the way they play and areas that need work or improvement, which will help us put a practice plan to best fit their needs.
Weekly Training - Larger Group Sessions
Whether you're a serious athlete or just looking to improve your athletic performance, our specialized athletic training programs can help you achieve your goals.
The Weekly session we provide is a 1 day a week session throughout the summer that will lead right up to many clubs condition camps and club tryouts.
Our philosophy is to keep your goalie on the ice throughout the summer instead of a 1 week camp and then done for a month or two. This way, we are consistently on the ice working on their skills and staying sharp all off season break.
Online/Video Reviews
Can't make it to the sessions? No problem! Our online video review programs allow you to get advice and suggestions from the comfort of your own home. Record your tendy, email us the video in question and we will share with you our suggestions and insights.(individual pricing)

Coach Pat Pagani
A little about Coach Pat
"I have been playing the goalie position since I was 5 years old and it was something I was drawn to right away when my dad introduced me to the sport. In my 32 years of playing the Goalie position, I have seen all the ups and downs, but most of all I have learned and studied this position for so long it comes second nature to me."
Career
"I played my whole youth career for the Skokie Flyers from pre-mites through Midget, In addition to that I also played 4 years of Varsity at Notre Dame. After youth hockey I headed up to British Columbia for Juniors, but due to some injuries, this did not work out the way I wanted. I kept pushing and putting in the work and I was lucky enough to play 12 games for the Chicago Blaze who were a local semi-pro team in the AAHL-All American Hockey League (now known as the Federal Prospects Hockey League- FPHL). That was an experience I will never forget but after the season I thought it was best for me to hang up the pads and move onto coaching."
Experience
"My coaching career started at the NW Chargers for 2 years then I moved to the Leafs for spring and summers for a couple years under Tongues Out Training working with the goalies, then finally landed at the Express and became the goalie coach and also an assistant coach."
Coach Pat has been the goalie coach of for the Northern Express Hockey Club since 2020 and Renegades Hockey Club beginning early in 2024. With the Express program, He attends all practices for all teams during the week in which He works individually on all aspects of the position. Working with the Renegades program, He runs a goalie clinic twice a month for the organization to help each goalie learn and understand the position and basic fundamentals. "The time that I have spent working with every one of these goalies has brought me back to when I was younger and working with my goalie coaches. So with that, I have started Blue Paint Goaltending so I can keep working with your son or daughter at any level outside of these organizations to keep perfecting their craft and get them ready for the next level/season."
Coach Adam Johnson
A little about Coach Adam
I started playing goalie a little later than most kids traditionally start. I didn't begin until around age 10, despite the late start I fell in love with the position after only a few practices. I've played at many different levels and been all over the country playing and coaching. The best thing about being a goalie is that it teaches countless life lessons along the way that stick with you long after the playing days are over.
Career
My hockey journey began in house league, as it does for many. After a couple of years, I progressed to AA travel hockey with the Northern Express, followed by a stint with the Chicago Blues. Once my youth hockey days concluded, I played two years of varsity hockey for the Leyden Eagles. Before my junior year of high school, I decided to pursue AAA hockey, which led me to spend two seasons with the Indy Fuel and the Sioux Falls Power. Following my AAA experience, I was fortunate to earn a spot on a Jr A hockey team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). I spent one season with the Danbury Hat Tricks and another with the Johnstown Tomahawks. After two seasons of junior hockey, I was thrilled to receive a Division I NCAA scholarship to play at Lindenwood University in St. Louis.
Experience
Even though my playing career concluded just last season, I've always had a passion for coaching. Throughout the years, whether I was assisting younger goalies or volunteering at various goalie camps in the cities where I played, I knew I enjoyed coaching long before I officially became one. Now that I'm no longer playing, I am the goaltending coach for my former high school team, Leyden Hockey Club, as well as for the Northern Express. In addition to these roles, I also run my own goalie school called RJ Skills, which has welcomed over 50 goalies since its launch in June.
